Edit testimonials page

When Shopify doesn't offer the included testimonials, the Relax theme comes with the Testimonials template. Use it as a powerful tool for establishing trust and engaging visitors to take action.

Now let's take a step-by-step look at how you would show your testimonials on the page and then additionally in a separate section on the homepage if you want. 

1. You have to create a metafield with a testimonial name. Go to Admin - Settings - Content - Metaobjects - Custom data and click on Pages. Press Add definition. This will allow you to create the new meta field that will be shown in the page configuration. Fill in the field with the required details. Click on Select Type and choose JSON in the dropdown.
   Note: Create meta fields with "JSON format".
2. You have to create the Testimonials page. Go to Sales Channels - Pages and Add page. Please specify the required information and choose the template Testimonials in the Theme template dropdown. This is very important. Follow the on-screen instructions and Save.
3. Go Online Store - Pages - Testimonials. Here you can see the page. 

You can also see the Relax theme Testimonials page configuration. Customize the look of the page according to your requirements.

Note: by default, the system does not select any page on the Page with testimonials. You have to add testimonials first, so later it will be possible to select the appropriate page.

Note: when customizing the testimonials card pay attention to the process of uploading the person's photo. Go to the Online store - Content - Files and add the image in the PNG or JPEG format. Then it will be possible to paste the name of the file into the JSON array of testimonials in the Custom testimonials field. 

Adding your testimonials

Go back to Admin - Sales Channels - Pages and choose the Testimonials page you've created. Scroll to the bottom and click Show All in the Metafields. Here you can see the already-created meta field with a testimonial name. 

Press the Format JSON and specify the name, photo, location, rating, and testimonial values. Continue adding as many points as you want. Save. 

Go to Online Store - Pages - Testimonials to check the result. Don't forget to select the Testimonials page on the Page with testimonials.

Note: If you have set another name for the page with testimonials, feel free to choose that page.
