Create a mini cart

A mini cart is an option for a simplified customer checkout process.

With the Charge theme settings, you can add a mini cart on Shopify without using any additional apps.

If you enable the option, a min cart bar with added items becomes visible right after adding the product to the shopping cart or when clicking the cart icon. This will help customers reach checkout faster with just one click on the button.

If disabled, users will be redirected to the shopping cart page after clicking on the cart icon in the header.

Go to the Theme settings and choose a Minicart subsection. Here you can change the following settings:

• Enable mini cart.
• Show product SKU.
• Show link to cart.
• Enable overlay.
• Specify a free shipping threshold to set a minimum cart amount to qualify for free shipping. Make sure the store actually has free shipping enabled. Note: The option will not automatically enable free shipping.
• Show complementary products directly in the minicart.
• Select the number of complementary products to be shown in the minicart.

• Choose a mini cart type. Two options are available: Dropdown and Drawer (set by Default).
